Can our technology help your municipality maintain its infrastructure?

Did you know that Wastewater Treatment Facilities are the oldest existing infrastructures still in use in Canada? The average age of treatment facilities was 18.3 years in 2003 (nearly 20 years ago), which is 63% of their estimated service life of 29 years.

Every community has to manage and dispose of its wastewater.  Recently, in Toronto, two buildings had to evacuate because of a sewage blockage, resulting in the underground parking flooding with waste, damaging vehicles, and displacing people.  Talk about yuck! We empower municipalities to prioritize and schedule maintenance so that sewers can stay out of sight and out of mind.

Age of Infrastructure in Canada

How long does a septic system last?

On average, a new septic system will last for 20-30 years in Canada. But this figure is not cast in stone. How long a septic system lasts is influenced by a variety of factors. For starters, durable septic systems are those that were properly built and well maintained. If this is the case, they can last for up to 50 years, almost doubling the lifespan!

Can technology really increase community resilience?

In short, yes. For instance, our technology combines the accuracy of image recognition, the knowledge of expert systems, and the speed of automation to take the burden of watching endless hours of CCTV inspection videos, helping municipalities and contractors better utilize their personnel for more value-adding activities and enabling workers to unleash their creativity and feel empowered to do more fulfilling tasks. Why not let technology take boring tasks and turn them into optimized processes? Our proprietary technology inspects videos with accuracy and speed, optimizing the condition assessment process.
